Motivation is BS! Bernard Smalls

BS – Belief Systems”

This blog is to tell you about the fresh vision and direction of my corporate coaching (formerly training) company. It is kind of funny how this ideology developed.

For years I have done speeches for sales meetings. When I would walk in the conference room I would often hear people saying; "here is the pump em up expert!" (at the time I was pursuing my BS degree - behaviorial sciences). They called me the gungho-guru. They brought him in to get up all hyped up for the weekend retail sales event!

One day a old guy from the south that looked like he could chew nails was real bold and said; "Bernard, I know you have to make a living, but I think this motivational stuff is all a bunch of BS!" Without even thinking I responded; yeah it sure is Sir, …it’s simply BS! belief systems.Well, I hate to waste opportunities, so I have decided to take the lemons that have been thrown my way and make lemonade. So our new motto for the 21st century is; “Self Improvement through simple BS – Belief Systems”
